This notice describes how Monnier Paris processes personal data when you use the Monnier Paris app inside ChatGPT or Claude (the "App"). It supplements and is read together with our main Cookies and GDPR Policy, which continues to apply when you leave the App to visit the Monnier Paris website — for example, to complete a purchase.

1. About the App

The App lets you browse and search the Monnier Paris catalog — designer bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and ready-to-wear — and add items to a cart, all from within ChatGPT or Claude. When you choose to check out, you are redirected to the Monnier Paris storefront at monnierparis.com to complete your purchase.

The App is operated by Monnier Paris SAS, which acts as the data controller for the processing described in this notice. You can reach our data protection contact at gdpr@monnierparis.com.

2. What we process when you use the App

When you interact with the App, the following information is processed:

• Your search inputs. The text of your search queries and any filters you apply (brand, category, color, price range, size, sort order, locale preference).
• Product identifiers. The IDs of products you view, request similar items for, or add to your cart.
• Cart contents within the App. The items, variants (size or color), and quantities you place in the App's cart during your session. This cart is stored only in your browser session and is not persisted to our servers.
• Standard request metadata. IP address and request timestamps, processed by our hosting provider (Google Cloud Run) for the limited purpose of operating the service and protecting it from abuse, in line with standard server-logging practices.

We rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract — responding to your search and shopping request) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in operating and securing the App) as the legal bases for this processing.

3. What we do NOT collect through the App

The App does not request, and we do not collect through it:

• Your name, email address, postal address, or phone number
• Account credentials, login information, or any account profile data
• Payment card details or other financial information
• Health, demographic, or any special-category personal data

The App does not set its own cookies, does not run analytics or advertising pixels (no Google Analytics, Criteo, Facebook, Commission Junction, or similar inside the App surface), and does not send push notifications.

4. Who receives the data

To run the App, your inputs are processed by the following recipients, each acting under appropriate contractual safeguards:

• OpenAI, as the operator of ChatGPT, when you use the App inside ChatGPT. OpenAI's processing is governed by OpenAI's own privacy policy.
• Anthropic, as the operator of Claude, when you use the App inside Claude. Anthropic's processing is governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy.
• Google Cloud, which hosts the App's server in the europe-west1 region (Belgium).
• The Monnier Paris OpenSearch catalog and Shopify storefront (on monnierparis.com), which respond to product and variant lookups requested by the App.

We do not share App data with advertising or analytics partners.

5. International transfers

Data processed by the App is stored and processed within the European Economic Area (Google Cloud europe-west1). Where we use providers based outside the EEA — notably OpenAI (the ChatGPT host) and Anthropic (the Claude host) — transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards under Articles 46–47 GDPR.

6. Retention

Search inputs and product identifiers processed via the App are not retained in identifiable form on our servers beyond our hosting provider's standard log-retention window. The in-App cart exists only for the duration of your browser session and is discarded when the session ends.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may at any time:

• Access the personal data we process about you
• Request rectification of inaccurate data
• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Request portability of data you provided
• Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL — cnil.fr)

To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@monnierparis.com. Because the App does not store user accounts, most requests will require you to describe the approximate date and content of your interaction so we can locate any relevant logs.

8. What happens when you check out

When you choose to check out, the App redirects you out of the ChatGPT or Claude conversation to the Monnier Paris storefront at eu.monnierparis.com or fr.monnierparis.com (depending on your language). At that point, our main Cookies and GDPR Policy takes over and governs all subsequent data processing, including cookies, analytics, and payment.

9. Automated decision-making

The App does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Product ranking and recommendations are based on your search inputs and the catalog's relevance signals — they do not profile individual users.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Substantive changes — for example, adding a new sub-processor — will be highlighted on the page for at least 30 days before they take effect.
