Zadig & Voltaire
As every true fashion fan knows, the Zadig et Voltaire brand caused a small revolution on the French and international fashion scene. Created by Thierry Gillier in 1997, it represented, above all, a new vision of style and luxury; a vision that breaks free from traditions and rules, where literally anything can happen. The brand doesn't shy away from any kind of mix & match, any clashing of colours, materials or trends. The result is a somewhat libertarian take on elegance, that hasn't gone unnoticed by a young (but nevertheless demanding) clientele.
Irreverent yet always elegant, the label refuses to abide by fashion rules, instead encouraging everyone to express their individuality through a style that reflects the complexity of who they are. No wonder Thierry Gillier chose the figure of Zadig to name his brand: a fiery character, tossed about by destiny but never losing faith in his lucky star… a terribly modern tale.
Today, this vision continues to evolve under the creative direction of Dan Sablon, Artistic Director of the House. Through his collections, he reaffirms the rock and Parisian DNA of Zadig&Voltaire while infusing it with a more assertive modernity.
