1. About the App
The App lets you browse and search the Monnier Paris catalog — designer bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and ready-to-wear — and build a cart, all from within a conversation in ChatGPT or Claude. When you choose to check out, you are redirected to the Monnier Paris storefront at monnierparis.com to complete your purchase.
It works the same way in both ChatGPT and Claude, in English or French, and requires no account or sign-in to browse. The App is operated by Monnier Paris SAS.
2. What you can do
- Search the collections. Find products by designer, category, color, material, or price — for example "Balenciaga sunglasses" or "leather mules under €600".
- View a product. Open any item to see its image gallery, brand, full price, available sizes, and color options.
- Discover similar pieces. Ask for recommendations and the App surfaces comparable products from the catalog.
- Add to cart. Choose a size and add a piece to an in-conversation cart that your assistant can see and help you manage.
- Review and edit the cart. See everything you have gathered, adjust quantities, or remove a piece at any time.
- Continue to checkout. Move to the Monnier Paris storefront to pay and complete your order securely.
3. Getting started
Most people simply enable the Monnier Paris app from their assistant's app directory. If you prefer to add it manually as a custom connector, use the connection details in section 6.
- Open the apps / connectors area in ChatGPT or Claude (usually under settings).
- Search the directory for the Monnier Paris app and enable it.
- Ask for a product in plain language — the interactive gallery appears directly in the conversation.
4. Using the App
You do not need any special syntax — just describe what you are looking for. For example:
- "Show me black leather handbags under €1,500."
- "Find Balenciaga sunglasses."
- "Tell me more about the second one."
- "Show me something similar to this."
- "Add it to my cart in size 38."
- "What's in my cart?"
- "Remove the boots from my cart."
- "I'm ready to check out."
You can refine searches conversationally — narrow by color, category, or budget, or jump from a product straight to similar pieces. Ask in French and the App responds in French, with French storefront links.
5. Your cart and checkout
Your cart lives within the conversation, so your assistant can see what you have gathered and help you adjust it. You can add up to 10 of any single variant, change quantities, and remove pieces at any time.
When you choose to check out, the App opens the matching product or cart on the Monnier Paris storefront — eu.monnierparis.com, or fr.monnierparis.com for French shoppers. Payment, shipping, and order confirmation are handled there, with the same security, delivery, and returns terms as shopping on the website directly.
The cart is tied to your current session. Starting a brand-new conversation begins a fresh cart.
6. Technical details
For developers and host platforms integrating the App:
- Server URL. https://mcp.monnierparis.com/mcp
- Protocol. Model Context Protocol (MCP), over Streamable HTTP transport.
- Authentication. None — the App is public and read-only for browsing.
- Compatible hosts. Claude (web, desktop, and Claude Code) and ChatGPT.
- Tools exposed. Search products, product details, recommend similar, add to cart, view cart, and remove from cart.
- Languages. English and French (BCP-47, provided by the host).
- Hosting. Google Cloud Run, europe-west1 (Belgium).
To add the App as a custom connector, open your assistant's connector settings (in Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector; in ChatGPT: enable custom connectors and add a new one), then paste the server URL above. No API key or login is required.
7. Privacy and your data
The App is built for browsing and keeps your data footprint minimal. It does not require an account, does not ask you to sign in, and does not store personal profiles. Your cart exists only for the duration of your session and is discarded when the session ends.

8. Troubleshooting
- The product gallery doesn't appear. Make sure the Monnier Paris app is enabled in your assistant's connectors, then try your request again. The interactive gallery requires a host that supports MCP apps (recent versions of ChatGPT and Claude). Refreshing or starting a new message often resolves a one-off issue.
- My search returns no results. Try broadening the request — fewer constraints, a different spelling of the designer, or a category such as "bags", "shoes", or "dresses". Very narrow combinations (specific brand + color + low budget) can come back empty; relax one filter and search again.
- My cart looks empty after a new search. The cart is kept for your current session. Browsing and searching will not clear it, but starting an entirely new conversation begins a fresh cart. Ask "what's in my cart?" to have the assistant show the current contents.
- The checkout link sends me to the website. That is expected. To pay securely, the App hands you off to the Monnier Paris storefront, where checkout, shipping, and returns work exactly as they do on the site.
- I'd like to shop in French. Simply chat in French, or set your assistant's language to French. Results, copy, and storefront links switch to French automatically.
- A price or size looks out of date. Prices and availability reflect the live catalog, but the definitive price and stock are always confirmed at checkout on the Monnier Paris storefront. If something looks off, re-open the product to refresh it.
